Life changes quick. Why shouldn’t your technology?

About a year ago I talked about things such as Modular Phones.

Google has Project Ara…and it looks amazing.

It was announced last week that the developers models will be sent out this fall to 100 lucky people.

About two years ago I heard about this concept through PhoneBloks, yet then Google announced Project Ara.

I can’t wait to see more on this and even get the chance to go through and test it out.

What we know so far:

  1. It will have all the functionality of a normal Smart Phone, plus 6 flexible slots for modules and easy swapping.
  2. The modules fit neatly into the frame, allowing for upgrading, innovation and style.
  3. It is powered through Greybus, a new software in the Android stack that supports instantaneous connections, power efficiency and data transfer rates of up to 11.9 Gbps.

Again I am excited and cannot wait…and I’m an iPhone user.

Google On!
