Many people use Amazon’s Alexa Echo or Google’s Google Home for a smart speaker assistant.
Yesterday, Made By Google tweeted out this:
Yup, we’ve all been there. Try saying, "Hey Google, set a reminder to pick up more coffee at the grocery store" and your Google Assistant will remind you on your phone. pic.twitter.com/IkLjV4I2zd

Google now is enabling Location-based reminders! As of right now the reminders are only set on phones and not on Google Home devices.
You can go out and say “Hey Google, set a reminder to get coffee at Publix.” Your Mobile Google Assistant will send you a notification once you reach the location…if your location based services are turned on!
To get the reminders on iPhone (because we Android people get this automatically) you will need to download the Google Assistant App for iPhone.
This is an awesome update!
